Mary unlocked the cage to begin the training session. She yawned, heard, “I will find your dreams.”

“Impossible, I haven’t slept in months, not since I joined this circus.”

“Get on.”

Mary thought, I’m working; I can’t sleep.

He bent his head for her to climb his back. She abandoned their argument.

While she slept, she dreamt her fur was striped, short, silky, like his. Together, they ran across continents, loped past cupolas and palaces, prowled forests and villages.

She woke refreshed, but lost her job because of the tiger’s escape.

Moral:  Beware of those who grant wishes without trade.

I like the way yo added a moral to this. Their journey was a wondrous one; great example of a modern day fable.
