There were no training wheels. Her father let go after two long steps. Screaming, Maria drove two wheels down the California sidewalk despite the wobbles.

So very true. That is what writing so often feels like for me. Wobbly, but exhilarating at the same time. 🙂

For the life of me, I don’t know why I added California. It is so easily deleted! Perhaps the image in my head required the notion of a sun-drenched lifestyle…

Life is like that, one minute taking first steps, next screaming down lifes fast lane. All goes too quickly.
