The cheesecake cooled on top of the stove; the dishwasher hummed; the clothes in the dryer tumbled. An afternoon siesta began. Four egg whites, quite forgotten, nested in a bowl.

Love how you put such amazing stories together in a few sentences!

A magical afternoon interlude. Well rendered.

Thank you everyone…Every time I write a three sentence story I wonder if it’s too ? too ? It means so much when people comment.

Your choice of words is always exquisite. (i.e. ‘Egg whites…nested’)
Such a cozy scenario, with just enough detail so that I can fill in the rest with my imagination.
Now, why am I feeling a bit sleepy? 😉

I’ve always wondered if a cheesecake without egg whites was tasty–it is. They add volume but not much else.

For a while the egg whites roosted, but nested was infinitely better! Thanks.
