I loved this for the relationship between writer and words: that words become independent. Perhaps by respecting their life, we become better writers.

So apt, coming from Gertrude who was a bit of a challenge when it came to the written word, but phrasing it like that you would have to conclude that her work certainly did communication and have life and dance and perhaps make the reader weep, and she lived all the latter 🙂

I found the word miracles telling–it spoke of an engagement that was allowed to change at core levels.
